Intake Nurse

Join our team of intake nurses who are in charge of dealing with patients’ admission and discharge and care documentation.

Job Description

Our intake nurses work on the frontlines, taking in calls about the healthcare services provided to our clients’ patients. They convey pertinent information regarding admissions and discharges and take care of patients’ discharge verification. They also take care of care documentation and update patients’ information and help keep them secure.

Responsibilities

Handles the discharge verification of patients in nursing facilities and the uploading of care documentation or files to the system
Keeps sensitive customer and company information confidential and updates patients’ information and files as needed
Regularly answers incoming calls regarding services rendered to the patient
Regularly communicates with social workers and patients’ emergency contacts about the patient’s admission to/discharge from the facility

Minimum Qualifications

Open to graduates of any allied medical courses
Experienced in working with doctors and allied health personnel
Familiar with medical terminology
Flexible and with excellent communication and multitasking skills
