Job Description

The Compliance Specialist is responsible for managing and coordinating the credentialing and recredentialing process for healthcare providers. This includes verifying qualifications, certifications, licenses, and other documentation to ensure compliance with organizational policies, regulatory standards, and payer requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Adhere to federal and state laws, relevant healthcare program requirements and account’s business policies and Code of Conduct
  • Participate in core compliance training and activities to identify and communicate areas of risk and potential improvement opportunities
  • Communication with nurse candidates everything that they need to begin an assignment making sure they meet the client’s credentialing requirements and on time.
  • Reviewing and processing all the confirmations and documentation that comes with the staffing services for our healthcare candidate and clients.
  • Conducts primary source verification, collects and validates documents to ensure accuracy of all credentialing elements; assesses completeness of information and qualifications relative to credentialing standards of Clients and the agency.
  • Run background checks, drug testing, enroll in training certifications, and or medical requirement appointments for candidates.
  • Submission of all employment documents of the candidate through electronic communication or the Client’s web portal.
  • Preparing employment and onboarding packets for new hires via electronic documents and client web portals
  • Providing general customer support to our candidates along with our sales team.
  • Maintain licensing, credentials, and insurance records validity
  • Conduct research on updated state and federal regulations and policies
  • Help develop and document internal credentialing processes
  • Conduct and maintain compliance with regulatory and accrediting institutions
  • Participation in Joint Commission accreditation
  • Identify and/or resolve nurse candidate’s customer service issues
  • Assist in business development efforts
  • Perform all other duties as assigned
