Job Description

A healthcare representative is a professional who addresses inquiries about healthcare services, insurance, and benefits. They provide information, resolve issues, and ensure customer satisfaction, often managing documentation and reviewing medical records.

Responsibilities

  • Clearly explain the benefits and available plan options, ensuring that everything is easily understood.
  • Adhere to policies, procedures, and job aids to ensure efficient operations and compliance.
  • Responds promptly to members, staff, and providers by addressing inquiries about benefits, eligibility, referrals, and claims, following departmental policies and procedures.
  • Ensure high-quality customer service by adhering to the client’s service principles.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Preferably with medical educational background, but not required
  • Strong communication skills
  • Can utilize Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.)
  • Willing to work on-site
