Radiology Technician

Join our team as a Radiology Technician to handle radiographic and cardiology reports, coordinate with NY partners, and ensure accurate documentation. Medical background, healthcare experience, and strong communication and computer skills are required.

Job Description

A Radiology Technician calls he facility and read out or verbally give the radiographic results of the patient. They input entries of the Cardiology Report of the patients in a Nursing Home facility such as Cardiology Procedures (EKG, Electrocardiogram, Pacemaker and Holter monitoring).

Responsibilities

Call the facilities for radiographic results.

Encode results of the cardiology reports.

Coordinate any escalation to our partners in NY.

Run the Cardiology Reports Services (E, T, K, H) at every start of the shift. To divide and assign the report equally.

Check the important emails endorsed by the PCA-NY HQ and check for STAT orders. To refresh our Tbred system every now and then to check new and existing queues.

Escalate any discrepancies and inaccuracies seen in radiographic reports and Cardiology Reports; one must know how to understand impressions and apply good decisions when it needs to be escalated to New York.

One must meticulously document all processes and successful calls in the daily tally sheet reports.

Minimum Qualifications

Must be graduate/undergraduate of any medical related courses (BS Nursing, BS Physical Therapy, BS Radiology Technician, BS Psychology, ETC.)
Must have knowledge regarding medical terminologies and abbreviations.
Healthcare settings experience
Must be willing to work on shifting schedules, holidays, overtime, graveyard shifts.
Excellent communication skills, fluent in English
Typing skills; know how to troubleshoot basic computer problems; able to navigate computer efficiently; proficient in using MS Word, MS Excel and MS Power Point.
