Job Description

This role supports a fast-paced respiratory program workflow that operates in 8-10 day cycles across multiple healthcare facilities and residents. The work is highly process-driven and repetitive, but requires strong attention to detail because each resident may have unique circumstances that affect documentation and order management.

The program may involve 80 to 100 residents per cycle, requiring careful review, reconciliation, data entry, and communication throughout the process.

Responsibilities

  • Review resident documentation at the beginning, middle, and end of each program cycle.
  • Reconcile records and ensure all documentation is complete and accurate.
  • Verify that all required information has been entered correctly into the system.
  • Identify and track missing documentation or discrepancies.
  • Notify the manager and/or Respiratory Therapists (RTs) when required information is missing.
  • Enter and maintain data in PCC (PointClickCare).
  • Input physician (MD) orders into PCC for each resident, including:
    • Diagnosis information
    • Order duration
    • Treatment frequency
  • Perform daily reconciliation activities to ensure documentation remains current and accurate.
  • Upload completed cycle documentation to PCC at the end of each cycle.
  • Monitor resident status changes that may impact documentation, such as:
    • Missed visits
    • Unexpected discharges
    • Other care or treatment changes
  • Communicate discrepancies, updates, and exceptions promptly to the manager.
  • Maintain organization and accuracy while managing multiple facilities, residents, and moving parts throughout each cycle.

Minimum Qualifications

Technical & Administrative Skills

  • Experience with documentation review, reconciliation, and data entry.
  • Ability to accurately enter physician orders and resident information into electronic systems such as PCC.
  • Strong organizational and record-management skills.
  • Ability to manage high-volume workloads while maintaining accuracy.
